EXHIBITION STATEMENT

This exhibition is about the artist’s perception of the spaces we’re living in, and our knowledge about inner and outer worlds that surround us. It is an attempt to reflect on the Universe of our being and beyond, using the language of the visual art - a language that everyone can understand.

Much of the artist artistic identity can be attributed to belief in the power of the subconscious and humankind’s spiritual connection to the Universe. My art is in part the spiritual process of symbolizing and uncovering the experiences that circulate in our lives. He always tries to encourage viewers to take a step back and reflect on missed meanings and interpretations of life. This exhibition is an invitation to journey across the infinite space of our subconscious and reality.

The artworks selected for this exhibition were inspired by various thoughts and events related to our past, present, and future, as well as our memories, feelings, beliefs, relationships, and so on – the endless sequence of elements that forms the truly infinite space of our dreams and reality that surrounding us.

"In search of a self-identity" exhibition started yesterday. Will last until October 31st, 2021.

Exhibition statement:

We, from the early childhood, are surrounded by social boundaries and regulations that reflect specificity of the social culture of society where we live. The framework (time, space, and culture) in which we live or better say are placed, thanks to our own artificially invented postulates often contradicts to our nature, which originally laid down into us. This creates the problem: queer vs established frameworks. Nothing stays still and hopefully we can see the positive changes. In fact, we just return to our roots ...

Both origins coexist in everyone. Apparently, in the vast majority of cases, one of them dominates. And both are in continuous dynamics, with a temporary dominance of one over the other in all other cases. From time to time they may completely substitute each other, and it happens at the level of our subconscious. We can remain in the same body shell, but our conscious and subconscious minds, which ultimately govern us, determine our being in the material world, determine our attitude to the norms adopted in each society. Everything is flexible and continuously changing. Both origins are in constant struggle, internal within an individual and external between an individual and surrounding social culture.  Unfortunately, not everywhere established norms allow a person to find their inner self. Because the well-known dogmas, cultivated for centuries, still with very few exceptions, continue to suppress the inner self.

The works presented at this exhibition are essential associations extracted from the subconscious and from the memory of the sensations, feelings, and experiences of an individual who always unlike others felt somewhat strange, in whom others saw just what they wanted to see, but not the reality, and who constantly experiences the internal interaction of the two origins.

Completed 3D painting "Gordon Cole is witnessing Laura Palmer scream". This piece was inspired by Twin Peaks series. It is an attempt to reflect Laura Palmer's scream. The black background beside her face symbolized the Black Lodge. David Lynch, the director of Twin Peaks series and creator of characters appears as Gordon Cole the boss of agent Cooper. Gordon is deaf that gives to this personage some comical tones, however he is extremely smart. Gordon is witnessing Laura Palmer's scream.

My last work "Metaphysics of love" created for my solo project "Queerology". Queerology is totally about love, true love, the nature of love, us and our nature. There are two absolute evils in this world - religion of any kind and money. There is just one "religion" that has the right to exist - kindness. All others fight against love and kindness. All others are businesses and nothing more.

So this is the work:

Below some snapshots from its creation:
